Brownie Troop 6229 of the Nations Capital

First meeting - September 18 immediately after school in the cafeteria!

We meet the FIRST & THIRD TUESDAYS of every month, IMMEDIATELY AFTER SCHOOL (3:40 until 4:55). If someone other than a parent will be picking your child up from the meeting, please send a note to let us know. We will ask for ID from anyone other than mom or dad (sometimes even from them if we haven't seen them before). If you are going to be late, call either of our cell phones since we are required to be off the premises within 15 minutes of the end of the meeting time. Any girls remaining after this time will be taken home with one of the troop leaders and the parents will be notified.

Each girl in our troop has 2 files that are kept in a pink plastic file box that will be at every meeting. One file is the permanent file that contains all contact information, badge and patch information, etc. This is the file that would go with you should you move. The other file that every girl has is a green one. Inside this folder, we will place all papers that need to go home. It is your DAUGHTER'S responsibility to check her green folder at the end of every meeting. We will be discussing this with them at the first meeting and will remind them of it for the first few meetings. However, this is something that the girls need to learn to take charge of themselves. Please help us to teach the girls to take an active part in their troop by encouraging them to remember to check their GREEN FILE.

If you need to get something to Kitti and Lulu, there are files labeled for each of them in the file box as well. There is a file labeled "blank paper and envelopes". This is where you may obtain an envelope to leave money or use paper to write us a note and then place it in the appropriate file. We are NOT saying we don't want to talk to you, but many times, basic information gets lost or forgotten because of numerous distractions. This system will ensure that we get the info, money, etc.
